National Pan-Hellenic Council
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) serves as the governing board for historically Black fraternities and sororities at Saint Louis University. NPHC is also referred to as “The Divine Nine,” or “D9," were founded with ties to the traditions and values of Black culture.
While their values celebrate and support the Black experience, SLU's NPHC organizations are inclusive to members of all identities. Many of our NPHC organizations are city-wide chapters, which means they are identified as collegiate chapters with two or more participating colleges and/or universities.

National Pan-Hellenic Council Intake Information
Students interested in joining an NPHC organization will join through a process known as membership intake. Each chapter's national or international organization defines the intake process and sets the dates. Before the membership process, organizations host informational sessions where students have the opportunity to express interest in a specific organization, get to know members and ask questions.
Interested students are encouraged to regularly attend events hosted by the organization of interest to be aware of membership opportunities.
